"Time Is Short"
Dear Friends and Family,
Lena and I have achieved a milestone in our marriage and in our ministry. This year has been ten years since we established Healing Hands Ministry as a tax exempt non-profit corporation, and August eighth we celebrated our fiftieth wedding anniversary. Couples who pray together, stay together. Most people would say that it’s time to slow down and start taking it easy, but we aren’t most people. We are just getting started. There is a lot of work to be done for the Kingdom and not much time left to do it in. So the race is on and we’re more excited now then we’ve ever been. God is on the move and we’re moving right along with Him. We won’t let anything get in the way or slow us down. We are getting older, so we have to move faster if we’re going to accomplish all that God wants us to do. You’re only as old as you let yourself think you are. Age is just a moment in time. But what you do with that moment is what really counts.
God has called us and gifted us to go out into the churches and minister the saving power of Jesus with signs and wonders following. God wants to see His people saved and healed, so that they can be a witness for Jesus. God told me many years ago that if I would step out in faith, that He would show up at the other end, and He hasn’t gone back on His word. I have to admit that sometimes I find myself asking God, “Ok God, how are You going to work through this”, but He doesn’t stop amazing me. You see it’s not just faith; you have to trust and obey Him as well.
We have to depend more and more on the Holy Spirit as we go out. We never know when we will be called upon to deliver the word of God.
Mother’s Day we were at Lily of the Valley Church and the pastor asked me to give the Mother’s Day message. In and of myself I had nothing to give, but the Holy Spirit delivered a message through me that was timely and beneficial to the body of Christ. And just presently we were at Full Gospel Christian Center, it was the First Ladies birthday celebration service and the pastor asked me to give the message. The Holy Spirit gave me an entire message that honored her, and exalted Jesus. You see if God sends you and you step out, He will show up every time.
A few weeks ago I was looking through some of the different church’s bulletins for an address. As I was doing so one of the bulletins stood out over all the rest. I couldn’t get the picture of a pastor and his wife out of my mind. God was impressing on me that we should go to that church that Sunday. When we arrived at Watts Memorial New Beginning I was greeted by the pastor, He asked me if I would give the message for the service. I wasn’t planning on preaching, but I told him I would. After the service the prophetic came on me and I began to prophesy to everyone that was there. God doesn’t use me very often in the prophetic, but there was something about that church that the prophetic started coming forth. Then Lena and I began praying for the sick and afflicted. God healed everyone that asked for healing. There was a rotator cuff healed, a back healed, a jaw healed, and knees healed.
God wants to move and reveal Himself within all denominations. Lately God has been directing us to go to several of the Baptist churches in the area, and we have been able to minister the healing and saving power of Jesus. God wants to tare down the walls that have been separating His people.
Last week we attended a Benny Hinn Miracle and Healing Service in Munster Indiana, at Family Christian Center. The church seats 3,000 people, and there was standing room only. One of our spiritual sons that we haven’t seen for four years is the youth pastor there. He told us he would get us a good seat. When we arrived, he took us through a side door and in the booth where the pastor usually sits. He made us feel very special. God truly showed us favor. Before the service started we were able to pray for people around us. I was able to pray for people with back problems, bad knees, and a stroke victim and God touched and healed all of them. Lena prayed for a couple that wanted to have a baby, a boy with skin rash, a lady with fibromyalgia and her pain went away, a college student from India for direction in her life, Lena felt led to anoint her hands and deposit the healing anointing on her, she then fell out under the power. Another girl from India that was watching this happen stood in amazement, so Lena asked her if she was a Christian. She looked at Lena and said “NO! I’m a Hindu”. Lena then asked her if she would like to ask Jesus into her heart and have Him forgive her of all her sins and she said “YES”. Lena led her though a pray of salvation. After that the Indian girl kept thanking Lena over and over again. This is just another example of when you step out in faith, God will be there. We encourage all of you to be bold and step out. What do you have to loose.
If you have been looking at the news lately, you will see prophecy of the end-times being fulfilled right before your very eyes. Indeed Jesus could come at any moment.
The scriptures speak of the end-time in Mark 13:7-8
7. "But when you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be troubled;
for such things must happen, but the end is not yet.
8. "For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.
And there will be earthquakes in various places, and there will be
famines and troubles. These are
the beginnings of sorrows.
Luke 21:27-28
27. "Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power
and great glory.
28. "Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your
heads, because your redemption draws near."
There has never been a time in history when all of these things have happened at the same time, as it is right now. Truly the time is short. Jesus is coming soon, much sooner than you think. You have to be ready.
There is only one way to be ready and that is to ask Jesus into your heart and to forgive you of all your sins and become a child of God.
There is no better time than this to surrender your life to Jesus.
