"Healings & Miracles at New Freedom Church"
Dear Friends and Family,
We have been experiencing the power of the Holy Spirit getting stronger and stronger in our ministry. It seems like everywhere we go miracles of healing follow us. It shouldn’t seem out of the ordinary for this to be happening.
The bible tells us in Mark 16:17-18 "And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name (Jesus) they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; "they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."
In Luke 10:1 Jesus appointed seventy others also, and sent them two by two before His face into every city and place where He Himself was about to go.
Because we believe and are sent, we know that where we go Jesus Himself will follow with Healings and Miracles.
Lena and I have been walking at our local mall. While at the mall we have met several people who are in need of healing. One day we noticed an elderly man walking and he couldn’t stand upright, he looked very sad with his head held down and was bent almost halfway over. We introduced ourselves to him and asked if we could pray for him. God touched him and he stood straight upwards and a big smile came on his face. Now every time we see him he waves and gives us a big smile.
We saw a young man that was slightly bent over and holding his back. We asked him what had happened to him. He said that he was lifting weights at school and lifted too much and pulled his back muscles. After we prayed for him, he looked at us and said, “It’s gone, the pain is all gone. Really the pain is all gone. I’m going to call my Mom and tell her what happened.”
We met a friend of ours sitting on a bench at the mall. We stopped and began talking with her. She told us that her thyroid was giving her problems and her doctor told her she would have to have something done about it. We prayed for her and then we saw her a couple months later and she said that her thyroid was healed and didn’t have to have anything done to it.
A few weeks ago Pastor Blankenship called and asked if we would fill in for two Sundays while they were on vacation. At the end of the first week’s service, I felt led by the Holy Spirit to announce that the next Sunday was going to be a Healing and Miracle Service. As we were walking out I noticed a man that I used to work with and he was wearing a wrist brace. He said that he had arthritis in his hand and was wearing the brace because of the pain. We prayed and commanded in the name of Jesus for the spirit of arthritis to leave. All the pain left his hand.
The next Sunday when we came into the church for the Healing and Miracle Service we noticed something that we have never seen before. There were people saving seats for people that were coming from out of town that they had told about the service. I knew right then that this service was going to be powerful. These people came with excitement and expecting Jesus to show up with healings and miracles.
I gave a message on Trust in God and putting our Faith into action. Then I touched on four things that stand in their way of your healing. (1) They were Pride, (2) Unbelief, (3) Un-forgiveness, and (4) Sin. I then had everyone ask Jesus to forgive them for each of these areas in their lives.
I started the Healing portion of the service by asking those who were having back, or leg problems to come forward. There where 18 people that responded. I had the men line up at one side of the alter and the women to the other side. Lena prayed for the women and I prayed for the men. There were a variety of things wrong with their backs. There were dislocated disc, missing disc, compressed disc, pinched nerves, spinal spurs, arthritis of the spine, hips out of place, knee problems, and heal spurs. All 18 left pain free. Praise God!
We prayed for people with depression, fibromyalgia, all forms of arthritis, diverticulitis, crones’ disease, and acid reflux. They all left happy and pain free. Praise God!
We prayed for a young girl who didn’t have any strength in her left hand or wrist. I felt led to place my hand on the side of her head and pray for her brain. I then held her hand and told her to move her wrist up and down. As she did, strength came into her wrist and hand. She turned to her mom and said she could feel her fingers. Her father then told us later that several years earlier she had brain surgery. She had steel plates put in her head and a small part of her brain was removed. She also didn’t have feeling in her hand. He then told me that when he came to the service, he had to walk with a cane and was scheduled to have a knee replacement. He said that after we prayed for him, all the pain left, he didn’t need his cane and could bounce on the leg with the bad knee without any pain. What an Awesome God we serve!
We hope that this news letter has been an encouragement to you and has given you hope in whatever you are going through. The thing to remember is that you will make it through with the help of God.
Remember that there are four things that can hold back your miracle. (1)Your Pride, (2) Unbelief, (3) Un-forgiveness, and (4) Sin. Ask Jesus to forgive you for each of these areas in your life and watch what He will do.
