"God Shows Up"
Dear Friends and Family,
While we were at a restaurant in Michigan City, IN. There were several children sitting at a table across from us. We were noticing how well behaved they were. Their parents were sitting a couple tables across the isle from them along with a little six year old girl. When the parents were finished they came over to the table to get the kids, and as they did the little six year old came and sat down next to me and didn’t say a word. She looked up at me and just sat there. Her mother was quite surprised. She told us that the girl doesn’t do that with someone she doesn’t know. We introduced ourselves to her and Lena told her how well behaved the kids were, and asked if they went to a church in the area. She said that her husband was the pastor of their church in Michigan City and she invited us to come and visit them sometime.
A few weeks went by and the Lord impressed on me that we should go and visit their church. The church service started with praise and worship. Then the pastor’s wife acknowledged us and told the congregation that she had met us at a restaurant and that her little girl had become very sick and as they were leaving, the little girl came to our table and sat down beside the evangelist, and the healing anointing came over her and by the time they got her home she was completely healed. When she said that, it reminded me of the scriptures in Acts 5:15-16 where it says, “ (15) so that they brought the sick out into the streets and laid them on beds and couches, that at least the shadow of Peter passing by might fall on some of them. (16) There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one”. She then asked me if I had a few words for them. As soon as I stepped on the platform I could feel the Holy Spirit. After introducing Lena and myself I looked at the organist and told him he wasn’t playing as good as he could, and he needed to get happy and start playing the way he knows he can play. That was all I had to say. He began playing in a more upbeat mode and as he did the Holy Spirit took over the service. People began singing and dancing and praising the Lord.
During the service the Pastor told the congregation that an Angel had appeared to him in a dream and told him that if the people would fast for three days, clean up there house and themselves and put on all clean clothes before they came to church Wednesday night that the Lord Himself was going to show up. Lena and I looked at each other and we both felt that we should also do the same and come back to the church for the Wednesday night service, because if God was going to show up we didn’t want to miss it.
During the praise service, the Lord kept drawing my attention to a young man in the praise group. After the service we were talking with the Pastor and I told him that the Lord had impressed on me that the Lord was going to use that young man in the ministry and that he should mentor him. He then told me that the young man was their youth leader.
When Wednesday came, Lena and I were anticipating seeing a mighty move of God and we didn’t want to miss anything, so we went to the church early for intercessory prayer.
The Wednesday night service was more of a teaching than it was preaching service. The pastor mentioned again, about seeing an angel in his dream. He then looked at Lena and me and said that we were like angels sent to the church. That the Lord had told him that he was to release us in the service to minister. He then called us forward and gave the service over to us to minister.
I began by telling them that the Lord had showed me things concerning them. That He showed me how they were when they were not at church. How things that they were doing was displeasing to Him. It was like the pastor said, that the Angel told him they were to clean up their house because it was out of order. They were to cleanup themselves, because some of them were drinking, smoking and doing immoral things. They were to put on clean clothes, because some were coming dirty and not respecting the house of the Lord.
I told them that the Lord was going to show up, but only after they repent. That they would not only have to get things right with Him, but would also have to make things right with each other. That there was too much un-forgiveness, if they had anything against anyone, they need to go to that person and make things right. Several people began going to one another, forgiving and asking forgiveness.
I asked if there was anyone that needed to change their lives and get their lives right before God. To much of my surprise, about three fourths of the people raised their hands and came forward to ask God for forgiveness.
I then felt led to ask people who needed healing to come forward. At that point God showed up miraculously, healing everyone that came. The following are just a few of the miracles God did.
1. One with swollen tonsils and could barely talk and couldn’t swallow was completely healed.
2. One with asthma was having problems breathing began breathing normally.
3. One with gout, all the pain left.
4. One with carpel tunnel, all the pain left.
5. One with a stiff finger, finger loosened.
6. One with a migraine, all the pain left.
7. One with a bad knee, all pain left and was able to bend it with no pain.
8. One couldn’t move his shoulder without pain, completely healed.
9. A few with back problems, after prayer no problems.
10. One couldn’t move his neck, gained full movement after prayer.
See how God worked. After the people had fasted, cleaned up their house, washed off their filth, put on clean clothes, asked forgiveness of others and of God and repented, then God showed up.
If you find yourself in the same condition as some of these people, you can do the same as they did. It’s all about turning your life around and getting things right with God. It’s not that difficult, just accept Jesus into your heart as your Savior and ask Him to forgive you of your sins. Then turn your life around. Once you’ve done that God will show up in your life.
