" The Cancer Cure "

Dear Friends and Family,

There is one area of healing I’ve often thought about. Why don’t we see more people with cancer getting healed?

In my own family there have been four aunts and two cousins who have died from cancer and my mother had to go through an operation because of cancer. Cancer has affected the lives of many people in one way or another.

We hear about all kinds of healings and miracles, but we hear very little about the healing of cancer. I find myself at times asking God why. You too may have been wondering the same thing.

For the most part, cancer is a disease that you can’t see unless it is an outward lump or tumor. You only see what a person looks like after cancer surgery. It is one the most feared diseases because there is no known cure. The cure for some who have cancer is to take chemotherapy treatments. For others it’s to have radiation treatments. For others it is to have the diseased part of their body cut away. And after it is all said and done, the doctors tell them that they were successful, the cancer has gone into remission, not gone, just in remission. It’s very sad, but many die of the disease.

Do you ever find yourselves wondering if anyone had cancer during Bible times? And if they did, why wasn’t it recorded in the Bible?

I believe one name for cancer in the Bible is “infirmities”. Many people in the Bible were healed from their infirmities! If it was possible to see cancer I feel it would look something like leprosy. Leprosy eats away on the outside of the body and cancer eats away on the inside of the body. Many people in the Bible were cleansed of leprosy! I also believe that cancer could most likely be caused by a “demonic spirit” that has attached itself to the body and is eating away at it and causing it to rot away. Many in the Bible were set free from demonic spirits!

If we could see cancer as an infirmity, or even as a demonic spirit we would realize that cancer was mentioned in the Bible. It was just described in a different manner.

In our ministry we have prayed for many people with cancer. Not all of them were healed. But I would like to share some victories over cancer.

About three or four years ago a co-worker of Lena’s told her about a friend of theirs who had cancer and the doctors had given up on her. Lena’s co-worker told her friend about when we had come to the hospital and prayed for her husband, and that God had healed him. After talking to her about having Lena and I come to their home and pray for her, she agreed to let us come. She knew that if God didn’t step in, there was no hope for her to live.

These were church going people. Many people were holding her up in prayer. But their church didn’t practice the gifts of the Spirit. When we got to their home, we talked about how God had been using us in healing, and that God was able to heal her through the laying on of hands. So we did just that. We laid our hands on her and prayed for God to intervene and cure her from cancer.

We didn’t hear anymore from her until one day we saw her husband at a grocery store and he pointed to his wife and smiled and said, she was supposed to have died three years ago, but look at her now, she is cancer free. At that point there was a joy that came over Lena and myself, just knowing that we serve a prayer answering God. I can only praise God for His goodness and mercy.

Just a few months ago a friend of ours at church told us about a couple that comes to her restaurant, and that the husband had a growth in his throat and it was cancerous. She wanted us to pray for him, but they weren’t able to arrange a time for us to get with them. Meanwhile the growth turned into fourth stage cancer. He was taking chemotherapy treatments in hopes that the tumor would shrink enough so that the doctors could give him radiation treatments.

One day Lena and I decided to go to our friend’s restaurant for dinner because we had never been there before. We got their early, before it got crowded. What happened next was a divine appointment of God.

Just before we were finished eating, a couple came into the restaurant and sat in the booth next to us. What we didn’t realize was that they were the couple that our friend had been telling us about that had cancer.

Our friend that owned the restaurant wanted to show us around the restaurant. As she was showing us around she told us that the people sitting in the booth across form us were the same people she had been telling us about. She said she wanted us to be able to pray for the man with the cancer, and wanted to know how to go about it. I told her to just introduce us to them and leave the rest to us.

After being introduced to the couple we asked him to tell us about himself. Our friend told him that God uses us in healing through prayer. We then asked him if we could pray for him. He was more than willing to let us pray for him. You know it didn’t matter one little bit to him that he was in a restaurant, and there were people all around watching. He was reaching out to God and nothing else mattered. After praying for him we left.

A few weeks later our friend saw us in church and told us that the person that we had prayed for at her restaurant had gone back and had a scoping of his throat to see if the tumor had shrunk and if so did it shrink enough so that he could have radiation treatments.

What she told us next was nothing less than a miracle. When the doctor scoped his throat, he was hoping to see that the tumor had shrunk. But instead he couldn’t find any tumor at all. Praise God, miracles still happen today. Miraculously cured from Fourth Stage Cancer!

Mat 17:19  Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, "Why could we not cast it out?"

Mat.17:20  So Jesus said to them, "Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.

Well if you haven’t guest it already, the cancer cure is Jesus.
