"Reason For Healing"
Dear Friends and Family,
We’re very excited to share with you how God has been showing Himself as the Healer in a mighty powerful way. We are truly serving an awesome God! He has been opening up more doors for us to have more Healing and Miracle Services. I believe one of the reasons for this is found in Ephesians and in Third John.
Ephesians 4:11-12 says, “And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ. And 3-John 1:2 goes on to say, “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers”. God wants His people to be in good health so they can do the work of the ministry, and be prosperous in all things.
If you’re in bad health it is very difficult to do the work of the ministry. And it’s difficult to prosper financially if you can’t work do to pour health. You see God prospers us with finances and good health so that we are able to support the work of the ministry.
For the advancement of the Kingdom to happen, God’s people have to be in good health and prosper financially to accomplish that work. The devil knows he can stop the advancement of the Kingdom by attacking our health so that we won’t prosper. He knows that if God’s people don’t prosper financially then the church can not prosper.
One of the problems in the church today is that people don’t believe that it’s the devil that puts sickness on them. The devil tricks many people by making them think that the afflictions they are going through are a test from God, and that God has put it on them. That is so far from the truth. We’ve heard so many people say, “I’m just going through a test, praise God.” These people have fallen for the tricks of the devil, and actually believe that God has put the affliction on them to test them. They have doom and gloom written allover them and they’ve given up. What they really need is to be delivered from that deceiving spirit.
Other than health issues the devil wants to steal your joy because he knows that the Joy of the Lord is Our Strength. If he can steal your joy you’ll loose your strength. If you loose your strength you’ll lose your hope. If you loose your hope, you’ll loose your faith. If you loose your faith you’ll quit believing and give up. At that point the devil has won.
The devil wants to attacks people in the areas that cause them not to prosper financially. We find that one of the biggest ways the devil attacks is with back problems. I would estimate that about 50% of the people we pray for have a back problem of one sort or another. It could be small or severe. Many people have their finances drained because they are unable to work, and with doctor and medication bills, due to their back pain.
The next biggest area would be joint pain in the people we pray for and mostly with the knee, because it too disables you from working and drains you financially as well.
That’s just a couple of areas, but there are many more in which Gods people are being attacked in. But here is the good news, Jesus has defeated the devil and has provided a way for us so that we don’t have to suffer from the attacks of the devil.
God has appointed Miracles and Gifts of Healing for His people. (1Corinthians 12:28) And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues.
The following scriptures describe the ministry God has called us to:
Mark 6:7 And He called the twelve to Himself, and began to send them out two by two, and gave them power over unclean spirits.
Luke 9:1 Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all
demons, and to cure diseases.
2 He sent them to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.
Luke 10:1 After these things the Lord appointed seventy others also, and sent them two by two_before His face into every city and place where He Himself was about to go.
Luke 10:8 Whatever city (place) you enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before
you.
9 And heal the sick there, and say to them, 'The kingdom of God has come-near to you.'
Matthew 10:7 And as you go, preach, saying, 'The kingdom of heaven is at hand.' Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.
Our ministry has been getting very exciting for us. In the last few months we’ve been able to hold five Healing and Miracle Services in the local area churches. God has been touching and healing those that are afflicted in their bodies. The healing anointing has been getting stronger and stronger. We’ve been witnessing an awesome healing move of the Holy Spirit like never before. We have seen several people that couldn’t walk without the assistance of a cane or walker, begin walking normally with no assistance of any kind. One lady that could hardly walk, even with the use of a cane, after prayer, dropped her cane, lifted up her arms to heaven and began almost running around the church praising the Lord. Another lady who was 85 years old got out of her seat and had to hang on to the ends of the pews to be able to come forward for prayer, began dancing in the isle with a big smile on her face after God healed her. Another lady that had to use oxygen to breathe was able to breathe without the use of oxygen after prayer. We prayed for a man whose thumb was numb and had no feeling in it, but after prayer the numbness left and the feeling came back. Many people are being healed of all kinds of back problems. People that had bad knees are now able to walk normally after prayer. Several people with pain due to arthritis were healed.
Several people that come for healing are accepting Jesus as their savior and many are rededicating their lives to Jesus.
Jesus wants to heal you, so that you can be a witness of His saving and healing power to others.
