"2016 Is Passed "

Dear Friends and Family,

This is the start of a new year, 2016 is passed and 2017 is just beginning. We can’t change the passed, but we can learn from it. Many of us at the beginning of 2016 in January had made some new years resolutions on things we wanted to change in our lives. But by the end of February the same year we had forgotten all about them. We find keeping things the same is much easier than change. Once a habit is formed, it is not easy to break. I had read an article that said it takes 21 days to break a habit. That didn’t sound so bad until I read another article that said it actually takes a minimum of 6 months. The more you enjoy doing something, the harder it is to overcome it.

I have come to a biblical conclusion. James 4:7 tells us to resist the devil and he will flee from you, but just before that it says to submit to God. So here is what I believe. If we start by submitting ourselves to God and confess our habits to Him, and resist the devil when the devil tries to tempt us to go back to those habits, then God will give us the supernatural power to resist the temptation to go back to the old habits. Then in Philippians 4:13 it says I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. That could only mean that the supernatural power to resist temptations is Jesus. I would also like to say that not all habits are bad habits. Now with all that said, go ahead and make your 2017 resolutions.

This past year has been an exciting year for us in ministry. God has never failed us. Everywhere He tells us to go, He always shows up with signs, wonders, and the miraculous. Jesus has kept us on a spiritual high all year. There is no greater feeling than to know you’re in the will of God. Since our last News Letter we have ministered at Saint Matthews Missionary Baptist Church (Pastor Eddie C. Wright), King of Kings Church (Pastor Angel Mejia), Full Gospel Christian Center (Pastor Lilton Easterling), Reed Temple COGIC (Pastor Philemon Reed), Refreshing Fountains COGIC (Pastor Superintendent Melvin Burton) and Burning Bush Church (Pastor Pierre Defendre). We held a Healing and Miracle Service at Reed Temple and a two night Healing Revival at Refreshing Fountains and a one night Healing Revival at Burning Bush Church. These were our first revival meetings for us. We normally have Healing and Miracle Services. Holding three revival meetings in one week was almost unbelievable.

We also continue meeting people outside of the church that are in need of healing, mostly at stores and restaurants. We also have people that come to our home for prayer or we go to their homes. We are still going to hospitals and praying for people as well. Almost everywhere we go God puts someone in our pathway that He wants us to pray for.

God has been continually saving, healing, and delivering His people. Throughout the year we have ministered at 26 different churches and 11 of them for the first time. We are praying that God will lead us to even more churches in 2017.

In the past year we have been experiencing an abundant move of the Holy Spirit. Whether it is through divine connections or divine appointments that God has led us through the year. So many times we have planned to have dinner at a certain restaurant, but as we are on our way we are impressed to go somewhere else to eat instead. When we get there we meet people that had also changed their mind and we just happened to sit next to each other, not knowing that they were in need of prayer. Or we will be planning on going to a certain church and that Sunday morning God will impress on us to go to a different church. We know if God changes your mind, He has something awesome He wants to do. It’s much easier to let God move us than for us to resist and go the way we want to go.

Many times when we step out and do the things God has prompted us to do, the thought comes into my mind “ What If ”. Thoughts like; “ What If ” it was just you and not God. “ What If ” the Holy Spirit doesn’t show up. “ What If ” the people don’t get healed. “ What If ”, “ What If ”, “ What If ”. But the bigger question is “ What If ” it is God and I don’t do what He prompts me to do. That all brings back to my remembrance the time that we were prompted to drive over 200 miles to pray for someone that didn’t even know us. When we got about half way there, the words came into my mind “What If” he doesn’t get healed? Right after that I heard the Lord say; would I send you somewhere if I wasn’t going to be there also? When we got there, we prayed for the person and God miraculously healed him. From that point on we haven’t questioned, we just go. And that’s how it’s been since we first formed Healing Hands Ministry.

I would like to share with you just a few of the healings and miracles God
has preformed during the healing and miracle services in 2016.
1. We have seen over 200 people rededicate their lives to Jesus and many
come to accept Jesus as their Savior for the first time.
2. God was healing people while they were standing in line to receive prayer.
    No one touching them.
3. Lena waved her scarf over a lady and the lady was healed.
4. People with pain throughout their bodies, instantly pain free.
5. People able to walk on their own, without the aid of a walker or
    wheelchair.
6. Many not able to bend their joints because of pain do to arthritis, now
    flexing without any pain.
7. A lady that had pain, and a knot on her leg just above her ankle. Pain left
and the knot slowly disappeared right before our eyes.
8. Several people that couldn’t raise their arms due to a bad rotator cuff,
began moving their arms freely without any pain.
9. Numerous people came with back pain and left without pain.
10. The Pastor had pain in his hands for the past ten years. God touched him
      and his pain went way.
11. One lady said that her spine was being held together with bolts. She
wasn’t able to bend over and was in back pain. After prayer her pain left
and as she was walking back to her seat, she began bending her back and
touching the floor with her hands. The church went into a celebration of
      rejoicing and praising God.
12. It took two people to help a lady to the front row for prayer. After
praying for her I took her two hands and helped her to stand, she was
very unsteady. I walked backwards while holding her hands and
continued praying for her complete healing. As we walked I let go of one
of her hands and kept walking and praying. Then I let completely go of
her other hand and she began walking on her own. Once again the
church went into a celebration of rejoicing and praising God.

God loves you very much and wants only the best for you.
           Wont you ask Jesus into
your heart today? Just ask and
receive  Him and begin a new start in your life.
