" Reflections 2009 "
Dear Friends and Family,
This has truly been a busy year for us, but it was an exciting and spiritually rewarding year as well. Looking back at all the good things God has done in and through our lives this past year of 2009 has been very exciting. But more important God wants us to look straight ahead, not looking back, and keep our eyes and mind set on Jesus and the things that He has in store for us.
1st Corinthians 2:9 tells us, “eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” What does God mean when He says, “for those who love Him”. We find the answer in John 14:15 "If you love Me, keep My commandments”.
Lena and I have ministered 36 times in different churches this year. We also have ministered at hospitals, businesses, homes, and people have come to our home as well for us to pray for them. And oh yes, to say nothing about the many, many phone calls and e-mails we receive from people all around the world that are in need of prayer.
We had the healing teams that we’ve trained, minister along side of us at the Worldwide Day of Healing held at L.M.C.C. It was an awesome time with many people receiving their healing.
The Lord had been speaking to me about having Healing Clinics. We held our first Healing Clinic last year at New Freedom Church in Coloma on a Saturday, followed up by a Day of Healing that Sunday. We took a couple of the healing teams along with us to minister. It was a great success. People were healed of all kinds of afflictions, and some rededicated their lives to Jesus and others asked Jesus into their heart.
Elder-Beerman clothing store at the Orchard Mall has been a blessing to us. Twice a year they let us sell coupon booklets for their Community Day Sale. Last year Lena and I worked a total of 12 weeks selling coupon booklets. All the money we receive from the sale of coupon booklets goes to help support our ministry. The sale of coupon booklets is our biggest source of income to support the ministry. Last year a big portion of the coupon income went to helping people in need, by buying them food, clothing, and helping to pay bills.
While selling coupon booklets at Elder-Beerman, we were able to pray for numerous people. They would read our ministry sign and ask about healing. We mostly were stationed at the door at the shoe department. That made it quiet convenient for us to sit them down in a chair and pray for them. Many backs were healed, some legs grew out, hips went back into place, all arthritic pain left them, and people were healed of migraine headaches.
It seems like everywhere we go God gives us an opportunity to minister to people. When we are at the grocery store, at the mall walking, or at the service center having maintenance work on the car, we are always running into people that we end up praying for. We believe that God places us in the pathway of other people because He knows that we will pray for them. It doesn’t happen by accident, it happens by divine appointment.
One of the biggest prayer requests we receive is for marriages. It seems like every church we minister at, there are several people asking us to pray for them in that area. We often wish we could offer them a book that would help them strengthen their marriage. Our son Darren and his wife Donna have recently written a book and it is now being published. For quite some time now, God has been dealing with us about going out into ministry full time. He has been directing us to a different church each week. As of last October, Lena and I have been ministering full time. It is truly amazing how God orchestrates things. He tells me which church to go to and when we arrive, the pastors ask us to minister. It’s as if we were already scheduled to be there. If we aren’t ministering the Word, they will have us pray for people at the closing of the service.
God has placed a deep desire in our hearts to see the body of Christ be healed, delivered, and set free from any and all bondages that are standing in the way of what God has for them, and seeing them spiritually grow in their walk with Christ.
Last September thru November we held our School of Healing at our home. This is a thirteen-week course in how to successfully minister to the sick and afflicted, and seeing them recover. This has been very exciting for us, seeing our students grow in the gifts of healing, and the things of the Lord.
I believe that this year God is going to pour out His Holy Spirit on all that believe. Healings and miracles will be happening all around the area, and in public places. God will use anyone who is willing to step out of their comfort zone, and step into the zone of the miraculous.
We have to stand on the promises of the scriptures.
In Mark 16:17 it says: "And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; "they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."
Acts 2:17 'And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams. And on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days; And they shall prophesy.
Acts 2:38 Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. "For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call."
Matthew 15:30 And great multitudes came unto him, having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and cast them down at Jesus' feet; and he healed them:
John 14:12 "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.
The Church is going to experience the miraculous power of the Holy Spirit like never before. I believe God is looking for the return of a first century church in 2010. A church that is on the move, and un-stoppable. A church led by and filled with the Holy Spirit. One where there is a demonstration of the power of God in every service. One that is totally sold out to Jesus. A Kingdom minded church. A Church that will seek after God with their whole heart, people that are willing to change when He says change, to go where He tells them to go, and be willing to step out.
I would like to challenge you this year to become more active within your churches. Remember God has chosen to work through people. If His will is to be done, it will be done through people just like you.

This year is going to be a greater challenge for us financially. We will be traveling more and going to more churches and places where God directs us to go. Perhaps even to foreign countries.
